David Jeong

South Korea

David Jeong is a Seoul-based lighting designer whose work explores the tension between industrial material and organic form. Drawing from Korean craft traditions and a decade of research in product design, his luminaries are characterized by a restrained use of material and a deep sensitivity to the way light inhabits space.

His practice spans from residential pendants to large-scale architectural installations, with commissions across Korea, Japan, and Germany. Jeong has exhibited at Seoul Design Week, Dutch Design Week (Eindhoven), and Maison&Objet (Paris), where his debut collection received recognition for its distinctive integration of hanji paper and structural steel.

A graduate of KAIST School of Industrial Design and a visiting researcher at Aalto University (Helsinki), Jeong brings both rigorous technical knowledge and a poetic sensibility to every piece he creates.
